I believe I have an original Shokler painted in 1947 of a bridge and NYC skyline painted from Brooklyn Heights area. My father bought it from the artist in 1947. Could you conirm it if I sent a photo of it?
I have 4 Harry Shokler serigraphs which I assumed to be watercolors until I read he didn’t do any. They’re winter scenes that look like New England but could be Pa. I’ve had for at least 40 years. Patsy raygypsy@aol.com
I’ve had a watercolor (I THINK) by Harry Shokler for about 15 years now. I bought it at an auction and it is my favorite piece of art; not that I have a lot. I’ve just recently discovered that he is a known artist and I’ve read just about everything I can on him. My question to you is, did he do watercolors? Most of the information that I’ve read speaks only of his oils and silkscreens. Please let me know. Thanks.
